At the end of August, we were invited to NYC to sit down with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts to talk about the upcoming release of "The Jockey & Her Horse", written by Sarah Maslin Nir & Raymond White Jr. This fictional book is based on Cheryl's journey to become the First Black Female Jockey in America. We met with her at GallopNYC in Queens.
We also spoke about Cheryl's racing accomplishments, the hardships she faced as well as the depth of her talent as a jockey. She was truly one of the best.
